What was your laugh out loud moment in the book?

It made me laugh when Maisie’s mum wouldn’t stop hugging her and called her “my little angel wings’. It reminded me of my mum too! It also made me laugh when the foxes stole the sausages and Miss Moon was screaming.

“He couldn’t stop thinking about the GIANT POO and that it definitely look a bit WEREWOLF-Y!”

Would you recommend this book to brighten a friend’s day and to make them laugh? Why?

This is a really funny book. It has a spooky title but it isn’t scary. The characters are all amazing, especially Izzy because she’s a detective. It even has some poo jokes too!


Pick you favourite page from the book and tell us a bit about why you chose it.

I think pages 80-81 are really funny as the children all find a giant poo! It made me laugh so much because I wasn’t expecting them to find it! I also liked page 183 because I enjoy toasting marshmallows. After quite a scary part, it calmed me down to see the children around the campfire,

Why do you like reading funny books?

They make me laugh and help me to relax. I read funny books before bedtimes so that I have sweet dreams.

Who was your favourite character? Why did they make you laugh?

My favourite character was Izzy. She’s the main character and really made me laugh. She thinks everything is AWESOME and I like that!

What was your laugh out loud moment in this book?

I think the picture of pudding the cat at the end of the book is funny. Sam’s Incredible Lie Detector is funny and made me laugh. The Illustrations are excellent in this book.

Why do you like reading funny books?

Because they make me laugh and when I’m done I like to show them to my mam and dad and hope that they laugh too!

I would recommend this book to my friends because my friends love funny stories and they would like the way it is illustrated like a comic.

Pudding is my favourite character.
His big eyes make me laugh.

When Barry’s brother pees in his Shnozinator 9000 because he’s like ‘nooooo!’ It was just LOL! I just loved it.

Who was your favourite character? Why did they make you laugh?

Barry because he’s just really funny because his reaction to his brother peeing in the Shnozinator 9000 was just LOL.
